High school sweethearts, Julia Rogers and Caleb Finney, chose Walton Arts Center as their perfect venue and transformed the space into the chic, classic black and white reception of their dreams. 

Get inspired by the Finney's wedding and imagine how Walton Arts Center can host your picture-perfect event. “It truly was one of the best events I have ever been a part of,” Erin Rogers, mother of the bride, explained. “Most of that was because of you and your team and how easy you were to work with. Thank you so much for the best day!"  

As featured in Arkansas Bride magazine, the Finney's hosted their reception in Walker Atrium and Pace Lobby, one of most popular event spaces.  Their color pallet was strictly black and white, creating a sophisticated and elegant look. “Right before I got engaged, I remember seeing a June 2022 wedding all over Pinterest that was at the New York Public Library,” Julia told Arkansas Bride. “It was a classic black and white wedding with white flowers and lots of candles. From that point on, I knew that’s what I wanted.”

“Up until three weeks before the wedding, our venue was set in Rogers, and we were eagerly counting down the days,” shares bride Caitlin Wardlaw. “Then, my nightmare, the tornadoes swept through, and our original venue was no longer able to host us. For about 24 hours, we felt the weight of stress and uncertainty, but then Shannon Eubanks at Walton Arts Center and our incredible wedding planner, Stephanie Benton, swooped in and truly saved the day.

Host an Unforgettable Event at Walton Arts Center

In November 2016, Walton Arts Center completed a massive $23 million renovation and expansion. More than 30,000 square feet were added and improvements were made across the venue. This expansion has allowed Walton Arts Center to host more events than ever before, including private engagements such as weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, parties and more.  

“Flexibility was key in the design,” says Shannon Eubanks, events director at Walton Arts Center. “We wanted to develop spaces that can be configured to fit different size audiences and events. We’re a non-traditional venue in the sense that we were not constructed with just shows or meetings in mind, but rather we sought to extend the beauty of the stage, beyond the stage and into our other spaces.”  

Walton Arts Center is a hidden gem when it comes to event venues in Arkansas. The space is unique, it’s in a prime location in downtown Fayetteville and booking with us comes with plenty of perks.  

Walker Atrium’s floor to ceiling windows and signature chandelier make beautiful additions to an event.

The modern design of the space is perfect for party, wedding and event planners who are looking for something different that your typical ballroom, conference center or barn venue. The architecture of Walton Arts Center is stunning and features beautiful additions such as floor-to-ceiling windows, signature chandelier, grand staircase, art gallery and more. In addition to having ample space for your guests, Walton Arts Center is known for providing an exquisite backdrop for your party or wedding photos.  

And speaking of weddings - the Walker Atrium and Pace Balcony make for a grand entrance for any bride, with beautiful natural light and staircase leading to guests below. The Bradberry Amphitheater and Rose Garden is a gorgeous outdoor space featuring climbing roses on trellises and twinkling lights, perfect for a ceremony, reception or even a conference mixer. And of course, Starr Theater is a black box that can be configured in a number of ways for any event.

How would you characterize your style?

I aspire to capture images in an interesting way, and edit them together to engage the viewer and stimulate one’s creativeness. Many different things and styles inspire me, but I especially enjoy creating vivid and dramatic visual styles. I try to marry those visuals with music or sound that amplifies the feeling or message being conveyed. 

What do you love about weddings and the unique services that you offer?

What I love about weddings is how personal they are to the people getting married, and how that experience is shared with their families and friends. So many strong feelings and emotions take place throughout those moments, and if I’m lucky enough to capture some of that and bundle it up into a keepsake that stirs those same emotions, I’ve done my part. I really enjoy working with couples in helping giving them something that can last their lifetime, that they can watch together reliving those moments from their special day.

JM Designs

JM Designs is “creative,” but that simply does not do her or her work justice. Inspired, thoughtful, elegant, striking, elevated and unforgettable. In a industry saturated with Pinterest ideals and inspirations, Jo takes it a step further and asks “how can we make it extraordinary?” Her eye for design and masterful understanding of color sets her apart as an artist. Her excitement for work that pushes creative boundaries and her commitment to creating beautiful events and weddings set her apart as a professional. Her candor and imagination are the perfect asset to any bride trying to break the mold, or simply breath life into the vision you have for your most perfect day.

What do you enjoy about working with Walton Arts Center (WAC)?

I see so much opportunity in a venue like WAC. It’s not like any other venue in our area! The atmosphere is nostalgic yet a blank slate all at once. Each bride will be different, and each wedding design will have its own heartbeat in a space that lends itself to creativity the way WAC does. Florals, atmospheric lights, table design - it all plays important roles in a space like this, and comes together in an elegant and climactic way that I just haven’t experienced anywhere else.  My week spent working on the Art of Wine event gave me the unique opportunity of setting up my studio in a space and working closely with the WAC team and I have to say that their professionalism and attention to detail was not only inspiring, but also a breath of fresh air.  The passion for what they do was evident in their work as well as their attitudes.  By the end of the week, everyone was exhausted, but still filled with joy and pride... I can’t wait to return to that environment again soon!

What can you do/create at WAC that is special?

Here’s what I know about a WAC bride - she values originality. No one who has their wedding or reception in a state of the art theater is wanting traditional. No, their vision is big, bold, and unique to their taste and personality. I thrive on creating wedding design rooted in the bold, extraordinary, and the unique with exceptional value and service - and taking my bride’s breath away with the final product!

How would you characterize your style?

Dynamic - cinematic - documentary. We strive to tell true and authentic stories in an interesting and vivid way. We also love to create one of a kind piece of art that can be hung above a fireplace mantle.

What do you love about weddings and the unique services that you offer?

We love showing people what their story looks like, but most importantly, we love to remind them what their wedding felt like. This is the main reason we have a documentary approach to weddings. When our couples look at an image, we want them to remember what that moment felt like and not remember us posing or directing them.

 What do you enjoy about working with Walton Arts Center (WAC)?

The space that WAC has plays hand-in-hand with the type of work we like to create. We normally describe our work as cinematic, but that word could easily be exchanged for theatrical. No one does theater better then WAC!  WAC is fantastic at making someone's wedding vision come to life easily!
